Configuration and Settings

elproPREDICT can be easily connected to LIBERO Gx IoT data loggers. Integration takes place directly via elproCLOUD with just a few clicks.

Advanced real-time predictive analytics solution for cold chain logistics. A combination of LIBERO Gx's real-time data and SmartCAE forcasted data to predict the temperature behavior of your precious goods.

Things to consider before the start

It is crucial to understand that the logger must measure the ambient temperature for elproPREDICT to accurately forecast the thermal impact on your goods. This means that the logger used for prediction should be positioned outside your product container.

The ambient temperature plays the most significant role in determining how the temperature inside your box will behave. By capturing external conditions, elproPREDICT can precisely calculate and predict the thermal dynamics affecting your products.

Therefore, to ensure optimal predictive performance, always place the designated logger in the surrounding environment, not within the product packaging itself.

Example:

Configuring LIBERO Gx with elproPREDICT feature

a) To prepare for elproPREDICT integration, follow these steps:

  1. Access your elproCLOUD account
  2. Add a new LIBERO Gx to the system
  3. Initiate the standard configuration steps as outlined in article "How to set-up your LIBERO Gx" and proceed until you reach the Alarm Limits assignment page.

b) Enable elproPREDICT

  4.  Select "Enable elproPREDICT"

  5.  Select "Email" and add email recipient(s) who should be notified when a predicitve warning           occurs

You don't have to select any limit profiles at this stage.

  6.  Click "Next"

  7.  Section 4 - 6: Activate issue alarms, select additional display texts and device operation               according to your preferences / requirements.

Please note: elproPREDICT does not support the option “Allow new run by START button when stopped”. If you check this box, elproPREDICT will not be taken into account for subsequent runs!

c) Set Parameters for elproPREDICT

The type of packaging used and the planned transport route, as well as the temperature profile of the shipped material, are required for a predictive calculation.

Box: Select the type of packaging used. You can find a selection of different types (package/box, pallet,...), sizes (4L, 8L, 25L, 250kg,...) and materials (PU - polyurethane, EPS - expanded polystyrene, VIP - vacuum insulated panels, etc.).

Lane: Select your planned transport route. The coding in brackets corresponds to the ISO 8601 format for the duration.

P = Period, D = Day(s), T = Time that precedes time component, H = Hour(s)

Example: P2DT7H corresponds to a period of 2 days and 7 hours.

Limit Profile: Select the temperature profile for the shipped material (payload), e.g. +2..+8 °C.

Please note that elproPREDICT applies strict alarms without considering and alarm delay mechanisms. Moreover, multi-alarm zones are not supported in this predictive analytics environment.

When all parameters are selected click on "Next", read the summary page and if ok apply the configuration. Now your LIBERO Gx is ready to start the run.

Customized Profiles and Parameters

If you want to define your specific boxes, lanes, and other parameters, please contact us at swiss@elpro.com

Prior to integrating your customized profile in elproCLOUD, we collaborate with SmartCAE to conduct a comprehensive qualification of your specific box and shipping lane, ensuring precise predictive analytics and risk assessment.

Once the profile has been created, you can enter your SmartCAE customer ID under the elproPREDICT main menu. You then have the option to either display all profiles during an elproPREDICT configuration or view only those specifically defined for you.
