Replacing a sensor in elproCLOUD might be necessary if the current sensor is malfunctioning or if a sensor needs to be sent in for calibration.
1. Verify current sensor status
This step is particulalarly relevant for ECOLOG-PRO xG.
If your sensor is not malfunctioning, make sure that all data has been completely transferred to elproCLOUD.
To ensure successful data transmission:
- Press and hold the "Info/Menu" button on the ECOLOG-PRO xG device for 3 seconds to access the device menu.
- Navigate to the "PUSH.DATA" option.
- Press and hold the button again for 3 seconds to confirm your selection.
The device will begin transmitting data to elproCLOUD. You should see the message "DATA OK" indicating a successful transmission.
This step is particularly important because, otherwise, the data between the last communication interval and the sensor replacement would be lost.
By following this process, you will not lose any data.
Ensure that existing sensor has no unacknowledged deviations and is currently within the acceptable temperature range.
If this step cannot be carried out because there is no connection to the existing sensor (e.g. malfunctioning), the following steps can still be carried out.
2. Replace sensor
2.1 Click on the menu icon and select "Replace sensor" tab from the menu.
2.2 Enter the ID of the new sensor module into the field and click on "Replace sensor".
The new sensor will automatically take over the same configuration of the previous sensor.
2.3 Pair the new sensor with elproCLOUD.
a) ECOLOG-PRO xG:
-
-
- Remove flap
- Press "Pairing" button on ECOLOG-PRO xG device for min. 2 seconds.
-
b) ECOLOG-PRO Radio:
-
-
- Open the screw cap and insert the two batteries.
- Bring the sensor module close to the ECOLOG-PRO RBR
- Press the "Pairing" button inside the sensor module for min. 3 seconds.
- Thereupon left and middle LEDs start flashing (red and green). When middle and right LEDs flash green together every 10 seconds, the module is successfully connected.
-
3. Return "old" sensor
Now you can return the "old" sensor with informal notice of its origin to our local office.
(E.g., in the case of Off-Site Calibration projects, or in the case of malfunctioning sensors)
What needs to be considered when replacing a device ID by itself?
If, for example, sensors are sent in for off-site calibration and then replaced by the same recalibrated sensor IDs in the elproCLOUD, no additional steps are required for ECOLOG-PRO Radio modules. Simply replace the sensors.
For ECOLOG-PRO xG devices, please ensure they are in shelf life mode before pairing or replacing them in elproCLOUD.
