During transport, goods can sometimes be mishandled and shift into a critical tilt. To help you track such shifts, elproCLOUD offers tilt detection for LIBERO Gx devices.
How to activate tilt detection in elproCLOUD?
In the "Settings" – "Organization" menu, you can activate tilt detection.
From that point onward, all tilt values for all LIBERO Gx devices in your elproCLOUD account will be visible in the Sensor Analysis View for the entire run – even retroactively, as the tilt sensor is already integrated into the devices. The latest tilt values are updated with each communication interval to elproCLOUD.
Display of tilt values and positions
Tilt values are displayed both graphically in the chart and as logged data available through Excel/CSV export.
The tilt values are displayed based on the angle relative to the starting position.
When the device lies flat with the display facing up, this corresponds to a tilt of 0°. If the device is in the opposite position, with the display facing down, the sensor shows a tilt of 180°, regardless of the direction the LIBERO Gx is tilted. The angle is always measured relative to the 0° position.
Tilt values are recorded at the same interval as temperature data. The shortest possible measurement interval for the LIBERO Gx is 5 minutes (except for LIBERO GH, which has a minimum interval of 15 minutes). Tilt data recorded between these preset intervals is not represented. For example, if the logging interval is set to 15 minutes, the tilt angles are recorded and displayed only at those specific intervals .
Short-term tilt changes occurring between logging intervals will not be displayed in the chart or included in the Excel/CSV data set. Therefore, any short shift that lasts less than the specified interval is not visible.
FAQ
Can I be notified if a tilt occurs?
Unfortunately, the current version of elproCLOUD does not support this feature. Tilt warnings cannot be set up at this time.
Can I set a different starting position (e.g., for mounting the LIBERO Gx sideways on a box)?
No, the starting position is fixed at 0° when the LIBERO Gx lies flat (display facing up). If mounted sideways or upright, you should consider 90° as your new reference position.
